A Dining Plan Reduction is available to qualifying students who live on campus.  These students are charged the $1100 on-campus meal plan but are only required to use $350 each semester.  At the end of the semester, any unused dining balance, up to $750, is refunded to Student Financial Services (eBill) accounts.  Students must stay in the $1100 meal plan to be eligible for a dining plan accommodation.

A student may qualify for a dining plan reduction  under the following circumstances:

Medical Meal Plan Reduction Information

Medical reductions are available to students who live on campus and whose medical dietary restrictions severely limit their food options.

In order to be eligible  for a medical reduction, a student must meet the following criteria:

      1. Have an on-campus housing assignment and be enrolled in the $1100 Dining Dollars meal plan.

      2. Complete the online medical dining accommodation request, specifically requesting a dining plan reduction

      3. Provide documentation signed by a licensed physician who is not a family member.  This information must be submitted to the Campus Dining Office, 105 Foy Hall.

Refunds are made to the students’ Student Financial Services (eBill) accounts at the end of each semester.

Students must stay in the $1100 meal plan to be eligible for a dining plan accommodation.

Fraternity Meal Plan Reduction Information

Fraternity members may receive a dining plan reduction if they are required to purchase an additional fraternity meal plan serving 10 meals/week at their fraternity house.

To qualify, the fraternity member must meet the following conditions::

      1. Have an on-campus housing assignment,

      2. Participate in AU’s $1100 meal plan,

      3. Must have purchased a qualifying meal plan required by their fraternity.

There is no application required for this program.  The Greek Life office provides a list of qualifying members to the Campus Dining office.  Refunds are made to the students’ Student Financial Services (eBill) accounts at the end of each semester.

Students must stay in the $1100 meal plan to be eligible for a dining plan accommodation.
