Student Affairs

A Dining Plan Reduction is available to qualifying students who live on campus and participate in either the Weekly 5 Plus $450 OR the Weekly 10 Plus $500.  At the end of the semester, any unused dining dollars balance is refunded to Student Financial Services (eBill) accounts.

A student may qualify for a dining plan reduction  under the following circumstances:

Medical Meal Plan Reduction Information

Medical reductions are available to students enrolled in an Orange meal plan and whose medical dietary restrictions severely limit their food options.

In order to be eligible  for a medical reduction, a student must meet the following criteria:

      1. Be enrolled in an Orange or Blue meal plan
      2.  Participate in either the Weekly 5 Plus $450, the Weekly 10 Plus $500, or an unlimited plan.
      3. Complete the online medical dining accommodation request, specifically requesting a dining plan reduction
      4. Provide documentation signed by a licensed physician who is not a family member.  This information must be submitted to Tiger Dining’s Registered Dietitian.

Only the dining dollars portion of the meal plan is eligible for a refund. If there are no dining dollars left, then there will be nothing to refund. However, if you are eligible for a refund, it will be made to your eBill account by the end of December (Fall) and the end of May (Spring).

Fraternity Meal Plan Reduction Information

Fraternity Meal Plan Reduction Information

Tiger Dining provides a reduced meal plan for students who are enrolled in an Orange meal plan and are members of a fraternity with a required meal plan of at least 10 meals per week.  There is no application required for this program. Greek Life provides a list of qualifying members to the Campus Dining office at the conclusion of each semester. Any credit will be automatically deposited to the student’s Student Financial Services account after final exams are complete.

To be eligible, students must meet both qualifications:

  • They must be enrolled in an Orange or Blue meal plan..
  • They must be a member of a fraternity that has a required meal plan providing at least 10 meals per week.

How it works:

Only the dining dollars portion of the meal plan is eligible for a refund. If there are no dining dollars left, then there will be nothing to refund. However, if you are eligible for a refund, it will be made to your eBill account by the end of December (Fall) and the end of May (Spring).

Example:

A student is registered for the Orange 5 + $450 meal plan which provides 5 meal swipes weekly at Tiger Zone in the Village or The Edge at Central Dining plus $450 dining dollars.  The student also has a required fraternity meal plan for 10 meals weeks at the fraternity house.  At the end of the semester, the student only used $275 of their $450 dining dollars, so they receive a credit of $175.
