A Dining Plan Reduction is available to qualifying students who live on campus and participate in either the Weekly 5 Plus $450 OR the Weekly 10 Plus $500. Unlimited meal plans do not qualify for the reduction.  At the end of the semester, any unused dining dollars balance is refunded to Student Financial Services (eBill) accounts.

A student may qualify for a dining plan reduction  under the following circumstances:

Medical Meal Plan Reduction Information

Medical reductions are available to students who live on campus and whose medical dietary restrictions severely limit their food options.

In order to be eligible  for a medical reduction, a student must meet the following criteria:

      1. Have an on-campus housing assignment
      2.  Participate in either the Weekly 5 Plus $450 OR the Weekly 10 Plus $500. Unlimited meal plans do not qualify for the reduction.
      3. Complete the online medical dining accommodation request, specifically requesting a dining plan reduction
      4. Provide documentation signed by a licensed physician who is not a family member.  This information must be submitted to the Campus Dining Office, 105 Foy Hall.

Only the dining dollars portion of the meal plan is eligible for a refund. If there are no dining dollars left, then there will be nothing to refund. However, if you are eligible for a refund, it will be made to your eBill account by the end of December (Fall) and the end of May (Spring).

Fraternity Meal Plan Reduction Information

Fraternity members may receive a dining plan reduction if they are required to purchase an additional fraternity meal plan serving 10 meals/week at their fraternity house.

To qualify:

1. The Fraternity member must have an on-campus housing assignment,

2. The Fraternity member must participate in either the Weekly 5 Plus $450 OR the Weekly 10 Plus $500. Unlimited meal plans do not qualify for the reduction.

Note: The cost of the Weekly 5 Plus $450 is $1,300, and any unused dining dollars (up to $450) may be refunded at the end of the semester. The cost of the Weekly 10 Plus $500 is $1,650 and students may receive any unused dining dollars (up to $500)

3. The Fraternity member must also have purchased a qualifying meal plan required by their Fraternity.

4. This is only for students who have a housing assignment through the Campus Housing office.

There is no application required for this program. The Greek Life office provides a list of qualifying members to the Campus Dining office at the conclusion of each semester. Only the dining dollars portion of the meal plan is eligible for a refund. If there are no dining dollars left, then there will be nothing to refund.
